Hello all! I had a great time on our trip, and enjoyed meeting and riding with you all, slogging up those mean climbs! The scenery of the “Alps of America” certainly made it worthwhile.

As always, it was an excellent trip, good camaraderie, gorgeous scenery, great hotels, tasty food, and lots of hills. What more could we ask?

This was my third Lizard Head Tour, and it did not disappoint. The cycling was terrific, with well-planned routes, the lodging was first class, and the logistics well done as always. I especially enjoyed the “off day” in Telluride – a great town and lots to do. While I would rate this tour as a bit less challenging that the Red Rocks and White Rocks tour, there is plenty on this tour for any cyclist to enjoy. We are looking forward to our next Lizard Head trip!

Another great Lizard Head tour! Loved the Victorian Hotels trip. There were great, challenging rides, sweeping panoramas, a home-town Fourth of July celebration that was to beat the band, and Lizard Head gourmet lunches that keep getting better and better. Nicole and John were guides extraordinare. Unfailingly cheerful, helpful, offering commentary on the passing scenery, geology and history, and being terrific hosts. If the purpose of life is the journey, not the destination, this is the tour to take. Each day’s ride was well-thought out and carefully planned, with something significant to experience along the way. From the majesty of the rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, to the challenge of the three mountain passes on day two, to the quiet Colorado country towns along the way, to the cheerful bustle of the towns like Telluride, Durango, and Ouray. Screaming descents and slow uphill slogs…..all were well-worth the price of admission. Thank you, Lizard Head, for another glorious week of cycling, challenging myself, and coming away refreshed and renewed!

The Victorian Hotels Tour was outstanding. I really can’t say enough about every aspect from the 2 wonderful guides, John and Nicole (don’t forget June Bug, Nicole’s dog) to every hotel and meal. The rides were the best I’ve ever experienced. The roads, scenery and challenge of every day left you wanting for more. I will definitely recommend this group to my friends and plan on getting them to participate with me in many more of their tours.
