Texas Big Bend & New Mexico EPIC Tour
We have joined together two great tours in the U.S. desert southwest to create a two-week adventure like no other. The Tour of the Gila tour offers scenic routes that climb, dive, twist, and turn from start to finish along car-free roads with plenty of climbing through cool Ponderosa Pine forests. Our Big Bend & Texas Mountains tour offers vast stretches of lonely high desert roads interspersed with challenging mountain climbs, this tour is a road cyclist’s paradise and one you will not soon forget.

Texas Hill Country & Big Bend EPIC Tour
Ride both the Texas Hill Country and Big Bend Trip in 2025!
Ride the March 16 to 21, 2025 Texas Hill Country tour and then the March 23 to 29, 2025 Big Bend tour.
FLYING
Fly to San Antonio, Texas, on March 15 for the March 16 to 21, 2025 Texas Hill Country tour. The Texas Hill Country tour ends at 2:00 PM on Friday March 21. After 5:00 PM on March 21 or on March 22, fly to El Paso, Texas, to ride the March 23 to 29, 2025 Big Bend tour.
DRIVING
Drive to San Antonio, Texas, to ride the March 16 to 21, 2025 Texas Hill Country tour. On March 21 or 22, drive to Van Horn, Texas, to meet the March 23 to 29, 2025 Big Bend tour. On the morning of March 23, when the Big Bend tour starts, guests drive up to Carlsbad Caverns National Park to meet the tour. After enjoying the amazing caverns, you return to Van Horn to stay the night. (Your March 23rd reservation in Van Horn is included in the tour price, so Lizard Head will book that for you. If you desire extra nights, please let us know, and we will add them to your reservation and invoice.) You will leave your car in Van Horn for the duration of the Big Bend tour. The next morning (March 24), Lizard Head will pick you up to continue the Big Bend Tour. On the final day (March 29), we will swing through Van Horn to reunite you with your car.
