Hello Geoff,
We are glad you liked the article. It is the rare story that captures the true experience of the tour. The writer, Christopher Solomon, is truly talented.
As for fitness levels and the challenge of the tour, yes there are some big days, but the challenge is as hard as you want to make it. We encourage riders to use the support vehicle and tailor the experience to their fitness level.
I will include you in our upcoming newsletter. I hope you’ll join us!

Tim,
The Redrock Tour is as hard as you want to make it. The vehicle support allows us to offer various mileage options each day. If you are a cyclist, set your sights on the goal and I believe you’ll be rewarded. For 2011 we have added a rest/recovery day in Bluff, Utah to the tour.
Cheers,
Lizard Head Cycling

I read the article and saw the video. Sounds great and inspirational. Maybe a bit too strenuous for my fat ass, but if if I train real hard…
The NYT article was great. I expect you’ll get a lot of business for 2011 – I know my wife and I are very interested! Happy to be on your mailing list,

Don’t know if I’m an experienced enough cyclist to do 400 in 6 days, but I have done a century, and I know my wife and I could easily knock down 60 a day for several days. Eager to look at your web site!
