Big Bend Testimonial

IMG_9676

Featured in the farthest western reaches of the Lone Star State, this 7-day ride promises vast stretches of desolate high dessert and big mountain climbs paired with the rich southern hospitality known only to the locals and those who dare to venture along the US-Mexican Border.

    John,
It was a pleasure as always but my recovery time has lengthened a bit; but nothing alarming and obviously age related. Thanks for all the boosts in Big Bend!

The best I’ve ever eaten on a cycling tour. Healthy food, well prepared – and even Gluten Free options!

The emptiness of this remote corner of Texas gives beautiful vistas and almost car/truck-free, good surfaced roads in ideal weather in March. There is more color in the desert here than in Arizona and New Mexico and lots of flowers beside the road.
The 1880s oil boom town of Marfa was an interesting surprise, and the accommodation in an abandoned mine manager’s mansion in Terlingua ghost town a unique experience.
The guides provided pleasant and nutritious open-air breakfasts, lunches and dinners. As usual, the personal attention to individual riders’ needs for variations and bridges in each day’s stage is without equal.
I would not want any other tour operator in Lizard Head Cycling Guides area.
