Thanks to all of our past clients, now friends, you’ve made our Colorado and Utah tours tremendously successful. So much so that we’re excited to expand our horizons to a couple more locals that meet Lizard Head Cycling Guides’ standard for unique cycling, environmental, lodging and gastronome experiences.

With that in mind we welcome everyone to join us for a spring season “warm-up” or fall “top fitness” adventure in the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona!

The Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona offers up ideal cycling temperatures in March, April, October & November. When Lizard Head Cycling arrives all the desert dwellers will take notice. We’ll show them our way of taking it down a notch or two and blend, chameleon-like, into the natural southwestern rhythms. This will be a tour to be savored both on and off the bike.

The Tucson Tour ranges from easy early season miles to seriously challenging climbs up Mt. Lemmon (a 27-mile climb with consistent 5% grades!) and to the Kitt Peak Observatory (11-miles).

If you can join our Tour of Tucson, we guarantee you’ll leave wanting more. The riding routes, southwestern culture, flora, fauna, ranches and spas all combine to create an enchanting desert experience.

Ability Level: A combination of moderate terrain combined with optional big climbs to Kitt Peak & Mt. Lemon observatories o makes this tour well suited for lower intermediate to advanced cyclists.
