Although a true alpine start (before sunrise) is difficult to achieve, the rewards can be many.  Former guest Matt Anderson said he has “never regretted an alpine start”

Due to the high and exposed nature of the terrain Lizard Head Cycling’s mountain bike tours ride, early starts can at times be necessary to avoid late morning thunderstorms.
